Tucked in one of my favourite Melbourne laneway is Industry Beans, a small warehouse, tiny at first sight but full of life. It's situated in the corner of the quiet street with both an indoor and outdoor seating area and serves a menu of the most exotic dishes.
Honestly, I didn't think too much of the cafe before I came. I had already lowered my standards just in case it was just another overrated cafe serving dishes of colour but it turned out to be just the opposite. Their menu has got to be one of the most unique I've seen with them squeezing every opportunity to draw from fresh fruity goodness and the most raw and organic ingredients. The cafe really gives off a clean atmosphere, like the feeling you get after you convince yourself to refuse a fatty meal and eat a salad instead or after running a few kms and serving yourself a fresh smoothie, that kind of vibe, which I really really love.
Also another thing that really caught my attention is their coffee menu. While they had the basic cappuccinos, chai lattes, flat black and so forth, they also have a selection of some of the most striking options for you. I'm actually shattered I didn't have a proper look before I ordered my boring capp, because seriously "Gachami AA: vanilla, strawberry, watermelon" "Summer blend: blood orange, guava, caramel" what?! what does that even mean? I don't even know but I'll let you know when I do try because that'll be an experience to share.

Anyway, upon arrival, we were greeted by a waiter who led us to a table outside and accompanied by a different waitress who really understood our need to carefully examine and precisely pick our dishes for our insta pictures (That I really appreciated). In the end we settled on 3 share plates (3 for $20) consisting of the manchego croquette, medley of vegetables chips and peanut crusted eggs which were immaculate although the vegetables chips which drenched in oil. On top of that we had the cured salmon which was fennel, cripsy quinoa on top of raw salmon, avocado mousse, lime jelly with tea marbled egg ($22) and my friend ordered a dessert plate, the coffee garden: coffee custard pudding, coffee cavier, poached cherries and pistachio sponge and tullie ($18) while I ordered the Coconut Crusted Brioche with pineapple, crushed peanuts, lime curd and coffee cavier ($18).
Everything was an explosion of flavour. It was like they dunked it in pre-made flavouring (but of course they really didnt). Industry Beans killed it with the dishes in all honesty, my tastebuds could not handle. It's definitely worth the try for any foodie out there, especially if you're bored and craving new flavours.
