Hidden so dearly in the empty streets of Melbourne, Adriano Zumbo's Patissier lies along Claremont St, right by South Yarra Station, in front of Melbourne's finest all boys school, Melbourne High and alongside Two Birds, One Stone, a small but busy cafe flourished by eager business men and women. The little store itself is so exquisite with hot pink neon lights hovering over the cakes and macaroons of all shape and colour and on top of that, the little store has it's own dining area right across the counters of mouth-watering goods. It's definitely a bonus to the area; what a way to attract Melbourians to a street so needy of attention.

The Zumbarons are $2.50 each, all with their own unique flavours and I guess that's my excuse to why I would travel all that way just for macaroons. Zumbo never ceases to surprise us with his range of flavours, most of which you'll rarely find elsewhere and if you do come across it, any bet it won't be as nice! And as for the cakes, I wouldn't know just yet, I've never had the stomach to try. Nonetheless, they do look and smell great.

Personally I've tried, too many flavours to count but I shall recount the ones I do remember, Salted Butter Popcorn, Toasted Marshmellow, Yoghurt and Passionfruit, Salted Butter Caramel on Toast, Coke, Pineapple and Lime, some I prefer more than others, but all edible with delight. Now next time, for the cakes :')

And as for the man himself, he's one of Australia's famous patissiers, boosted by his appearance on the first series of MasterChef, he currently opens 5 stores across NSW and VIC and has made a name out of himself.

He's written two books, allowing anyone daring enough, to try his line of desserts from scratch and till today, continues to excite the crowd with his creations. What's not to love?!

On the upside, a visit to Adriano Zumbo always means a well fitted photo for instagram, that can't be denied!
