Newly built and instilled in Melbourne's finest shopping arena, Charlie & Co Burgers definitely attract the crowd (or well me) with their menu and layout. Modern and sophisticated, it's like you're not eating fast food at all, but of course the reality is, it is very much american inherited fast food.
Their menu consists of mainly burgers ranging for the adults to the kids, with your choice of sides, opportunity for extras and a range of sauce choice but additionally they serve toasted sandwiches and hot dogs too.
The buns are oven baked, toasted and soft, burger made for you to watch and if busy, you're given ringers to collect your order when ready. Won't say the place is the most speedy though although you really do pay for what you get, the burgers were huge.
The burgers were really messy to eat, dripping of sauce and too big for single bites so I wouldn't say the place is my ideal burger joint. My friend and I halved the kid's burger with Wagyu meat ($10) which came with chips and had an additional choice of fish or beef. I would say I'm glad we shared because it was already way too much to handle. The double cheese and bacon burger $14 and the mighty charlie burger $16 was also trialled by my family, too bad I can't comment on those because I didn't try them myself.
