Isolated in its own corner, directly opposite Carnegie Station, captures the attention of all bypassers, Platform 3 Cafe. Although pricey and limited with its menu, I know Platform 3 is one of my low key, reliable cafes when I need to go somewhere, but have no idea where to go. They set their decor with the use of old goods, recycled to transform the cafe into the most effortless yet breath-taking layout. Perhaps it's just me but I love the use of plants, blackboards, hanging baskets used as lights, old school lockers and wooden furniture. Their menu are tailored for breakfast (all day), lunch as well as dinner tapas ranging from the good old egg and bacon, muesli, avocado, sandwiches, mini burgers as well as small meat platters for dinner although if you are looking for something filling, I wouldn't recommend for the cafe for dinner for the sole reason, it is a cafe not a restaurant.

The service is extremely well conducted, staffs are friendly and food delivery is efficient but perhaps it was only the time and day I went which was wednesday at around 2 because the last morning I visited, i remember waiting a decade for my coffee and sandwich to arrive. Nonetheless, my favourite thing about this place would be their mini burgers.. I tried the Thai Chicken Mini Burger and that was divine. What really caught my attention was the fact that it was rich with flavour that was infiltrated in the beef/chicken patty rather than sauced between the buns. Better yet, it was just the perfect size and flavour for a small bite.

Mini Thai Chicken Burger $8
Mini Lamb Burger $8
Smashed Avocado on toasted Ciabatta.  $12

Basic Breakfast- Eggs with bacon on organic sourdough  $10

Definitely worth the try
